Seminar Policy

Seminar Policy

This refund policy refers to registrations made through NMT Center’s home office and may not apply if registering through the Event Sponsor or another organization.

To register for a seminar through NMT Center, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. Payment in full. Please note that all deposits can be transferred or refunded without penalty during Covid-19 pandemic.

Once registered, if circumstances arise that do not allow participation in the chosen event, the non-refundable $100 deposit can be transferred one time provided that the participant notifies NMT Center or the Event Sponsor prior to the start of the course. Any remaining funds beyond the $100 deposit can be transferred to a new event, held as a credit, or refunded (participant’s choice). Any refund associated with cancellation by the participant will incur a 5% handling fee.

If the participant is uncertain as to which future event to attend, the deposit will be held as credit with NMT Center or the Event Sponsor (participant’s choice) for a period of up to two years. During that time the participant must notify NMT Center or the Event Sponsor in writing as to where to transfer the funds.

If the participant fails to contact NMT Center or the Event Sponsor to request a transfer prior to the start of the event, all money is forfeited and becomes part of the event income. If, within seven (7) days of the start of the event, the participant provides proof of an emergency, illness or other critical situation that prevented him/her from contacting the providers, a refund can be appealed by providing the details to NMT Center.

All refunds are made to the party who paid the tuition (benefactor). For instance, if an employer paid the tuition, then the refund is made to the employer, not the participant. Exceptions made only with written documentation from the benefactor.

CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT BY NMT CENTER

Cancellation of an NMT event is rare and occurs only after serious consideration is given for all other solutions. An event may be cancelled or postponed due to hazardous weather, unforeseen circumstances within the venue, or due to unusual circumstances, such as serious or sudden illness of the instructor. In the unlikely event a seminar is cancelled or postponed, each participant will be notified by the business that processed the registration. The participant can then choose to have a refund or to have the funds transferred to another event being held by either NMT Center or the Event Sponsor. No handling fees will apply if a course is cancelled and all funds will be refunded, if requested, including the non-refundable deposit.

If the participant incurs any expenses due to cancellation of an event, such as hotel or flight costs, those expenses are the participant’s sole responsibility, regardless of the reason for cancellation. We suggest that those people who book hotel rooms or airline flights purchase fully refundable rooms and tickets or purchase travel insurance (this insures travel and is not life or accident insurance).
