PREREQUISITE: Must have taken this class previously or completed the NMTC School Program.
This 20 CE contact hour seminar includes elements of NMT’s foundational platform, and the anatomy, physiology, functions and dysfunctions of the cervical region and cranium, including cervical muscles, cervical discs, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), the tongue and floor of the mouth. Discussions include common syndromes resulting from traumas, such as whiplash, chronic headaches, military neck, craniofacial pain, surgical approaches, and step-by-step techniques for the neck and oral cavity.
Hands-on training includes posterior, anterior and lateral cervical areas, as well as muscles of the temporomandibular joint and tongue. Discussions will also include location of pertinent trigger points and their treatment, disc pathologies, cervical pathologies, TMJ dysfunction, and speech impediments.
